Setting Up With Quadstat
To setup your computer to perform statistical analysis using Quadstat for the OpenIntro statistics books, follow these instructions (it is considerably easier than SAS and R.) Since Quadstat is web-based all that's necessary is to create an account. The primary benefits of creating a Quadstat account is that you will be able to save datasets on the server, and also any R queries you submit will be private (you can make a dataset private by unpublishing it.) Also, registered users will not see ads and also have the ability to set their time zone, create a profile with a link to their homepage, and also choose to opt-out of Google Analytics tracking.
Once you click "Login", you can click "Create New Account" or use your Facebook account to login.
If you choose the Facebook login, just approve the request to share your profile information with Quadstat.com. The only items that will be shared are your email address. Your password is not shared. Also, this authorization will not allow Quadstat.com to post messages using your Facebook account. If at anytime you wish to revoke Facebook authorization, you can do so within your Facebook account under "Apps".
If you choose the email verification method, then check your Inbox for an email from Quadstat.com. When you receive it, click the link in the message. From there, your browser will be taken to Quadstat.com to set a password for your account.
